ISKO
The cutlery ISKO was designed as a result of the HEMA design contest 2001, for which entry the designer recieved an honourable mention.
The characteristics of the cutlery ISKO range are its streamlined forms. The materials used are stainless steel combined with polypropyleen. The cutlery is placed down with its 'back' facing upwards. As a result of its curvature, as well as the haft and the functional part of the underside of the cutlery, it is easy to hold and there is little requirement to touch the table.
The jury's opinion: "One of the few really surprising competition entries. By setting the table 'closed', an old English custom, a custom is reinstated with this design. The design has its own unique style, based on an idea that separates itself from an existing design."
